[ If you haven’t already read part 1 you should or you won’t know what’s
happening , Joey got a gift wrapping job but then he got fired , Sam a
girl who Monica used to look after has, come to stay with her over
Christmas she is like a smaller version of Chandler and they act like
brother and sister , the other’s haven’t done much yet but that will
soon change so get reading ]
 
 

Scene 1

[ Monica and Rachel’s apartment everyone’s there except for Phoebe and
Sam , they’re all just sat on the sofa and the chair’s . ]

Monica : [ To Joey ] How was your date last night ?

Joey : [ Beat ] It totally sucked .

Rachel : Why what happened ?

Joey : I don’t wanna talk about it .

Chandler : She got engaged to the waiter .

Joey : [ A little angry ] Thanks man .

Monica : What ! She got engaged .

Joey : [ Beat ] Well, we went to this restaurant and it turned out that
our waiter was her ex-boyfriend . Anyway half way through the meal he
comes up to the table and asks her to marry him .

[ The other’s try to hide there giggle’s ]

Rachel : So what did you do ?

Joey : [ Still beat ] What could I do , I just paid the bill and left .

Ross : Did you leave a tip ? [ They all burst out laughing except for
Joey ]
 
 

OPENING CREDIT’S

Scene 2
[ Same as it was before they are all sat like they were . Sam walk’s
in from Monica’s bedroom ]

Sam : Merry Christmas Eve .

[ She sits on the sofa ]

Joey : Hey I was thinking ......

[ Chandler goes to say something but Sam beat’s him to it ]

Sam : [ Cutting Joey off ] Did it hurt ?

[They all giggle ]

Rachel : [ To Chandler ] Hey she’s a lot faster then you . You’ve got
some major competition here .

[ Chandler gives her a fake smile ]

Joey : Anyway I was thinking about inviting my cousin to stay over the
holiday’s , you know someone the same age as Sam to keep her company .

Sam : It’s a nice thought but I think I’ll be OK .

Joey : Are you sure , he’s a great kid .

Sam : He’s a he [ a little excited ] why didn’t you say, it’ll be great
. When does he get here ?

[ Everyone except Joey give’s her a funny look ]

Sam : [ Innocently ] I could use the company .

[ They stop looking at her ]

Sam : [ Whisper’s to Joey ] Is he cute ?

[ The other’s look at her again ]

Sam : What, like you all don’t wanna know ? [ Their face’s don’t change
] [ Beat ] Fine if your gonna be like that I’ll just wait till he gets
here . [ She sit’s back arm’s crossed, pouting ]

Scene 2

[ Joey and Chandler’s apartment, Joey , Chandler and Ross are stood
around the
counter ]

Ross : So did you call your cousin ?

Joey : Yeah , he’s coming tonight .

Chandler : Don’t his parent’s mind him not spending Christmas with them
?

Joey : [ Matter of factly ] They’ve got nine kid’s and we’re only
borrowing one, they probably won’t even notice he’s gone .

Chandler : [ Quipping ] Wow, why can’t all family’s be that close .

Ross : I gotta go .

Joey : Wait, I’ll walk out with you .

[ They both walk to the door ]

Chandler : Where you going ?

Ross : Well I’m going to spend the day with Ben . Susan and Carol are
going to stay with Susan’s folk’s for a couple of day’s so, this’ll be
the only chance I’ll get to see Ben over Christmas .

Joey : And I’m going to my Grandma’s to pick up my laundry .

Chandler : Cya later .

Ross : Bye .

Joey : Make sure your in Central Perk by 5:30 .

Chandler : OK .

Joey : Oh and can you tell the girl’s to be there too .

Chandler : Sure , No problem .

[ Joey and Ross walk out the door ]

Chandler : [ to himself ] What shall I do ?

[He look’s around the room and sees the chick on the floor]

Chandler : [ To the Chick ] Wanna learn some trick’s ?

Scene 3

[ Monica and Rachel’s apartment , all the girl’s are sat around the
table Monica , Rachel and Phoebe are looking bored , Rachel’s got her
head on the table , Phoebe’s playing with a spoon and Monica’s looking
at Sam ]

Sam : So do you think he’ll be cute ?

Monica : Aaahhh ! would you please shut up about Joey’s cousin already ,
that’s all you’ve talked about for the last hour .

Sam : I’m sorry [ Beat ] it’s just I don’t have that much success with
boy’s , I mean if I do find one crazy enough to actually ask me out, I
usually dump them for some stupid reason like for being too tall or too
short or for having an irritating laugh or an unusually large head or
.........

Rachel : [ Lifting her head up ] OK ,that’s it, I know you’re a girl and
I know your 13 years younger but you are Chandler .

Sam : [ Ignoring the comment ] Anyway back to the point . [ She pauses
look’s at Monica then look’s away ] He’s gotta be cute he’s related to
Joey .

Monica : Not this again . [ She goes to the fridge ]

Phoebe : [ Putting the spoon down ] You think Joey’s cute ?

Sam : Yeah, of course I do , don’t you guy’s ?

[ All at the same time ]

Monica/Rachel : NO! Phoebe : Yeah .

[ Rachel and Monica look at Phoebe in shock ]

Phoebe : I mean NO .

Monica : Phoebe do you have a crush on Joey ?

Phoebe : Yeah maybe [ She stand’s up quickly and start’s walking to the
door ] Oh my God is that the time? I gotta go .

Rachel : Where you going ?

Phoebe : [ Searching for an answer ] err .... Outside .

[ She walk’s out the door ]

Monica : Phoebe WAIT !

[ She’s already left ]

Rachel : [ In shock ] Phoebe and Joey [ Pause ] I know they kissed a few
time’s in the past but I didn’t know she liked him like that .

Monica : [ Still in shock ] Me neither .

Sam : [ Not really interested ] Well you learn something new every day .
Do either of you wanna come shopping ?

Monica : [ Ticked ] Sorry I can’t, I gotta start preparing a three
course Christmas dinner for eight for tomorrow .

Rachel : I’ll go . I’ve got some last minute gift’s to buy .

Sam : Yeah right , either that or you don’t wanna be here when Monica
start’s getting stressed in the kitchen .

Monica : [ Defensive ] I don’t get stressed .

[ They both look at her ]

Monica : Well , maybe a little .

[ Sam and Rachel grab their coat’s and walk out the door ]

Rachel : We’ll be back by five .

Monica : OK ,Cya .

Scene 4

[ Chandler and Joey’s apartment . Chandler is sat on the floor with
the chick in front of him and a ball in his hand ]

Chandler : [ To the chick ] OK remember what I told you .

[ He throw’s the ball across the room ]

Chandler : Now go fetch it ,GO ON .

[ The chick just stand’s there ]

Chandler : Oh your never gonna get it I’m going out .

[ He pick’s up his coat and walk’s out the door ]
 

Scene 5

[ The mainstreet, Rachel and Sam are looking in shop window’s ]

Rachel : So, what do you think I should get Phoebe ?

Sam : How about a ticket back to her home planet .

Rachel : [ Smiling ] No, I think Ross already got her one .

Sam : So what’s the deal with you and Ross ?

Rachel : What do you mean ?

Sam : Why aren’t you two together ?

Rach : Well we were, but he cheated on me, so we broke up .

Sam : But you still love him right ?

Rachel : [ Interested ] No, what make’s you think that ?

Sam : [ Point’s into the window ] Don’t you think that would be perfect
for Monica .

Rachel : She already got one . Anyway back to the Ross thing, what
make’s you think I still love him ?

Sam : Whenever he walk’s in the room, you light up and he does the same
thing .

Rachel : No we don’t .

Sam : Oh come on. Together you light up half of New York .

Rachel : You’ve got it all wrong .

Sam : Nu-huh . I can just tell when people like each other, even if they
can’t . I knew Phoebe liked Joey and I know he like’s her, they do the
same thing you and Ross do , so do Monica and Chandler .

Rachel : [ Surprised ] WHAT , Monica and Chandler are just good friends
.

Sam : Oh, come you can’t tell me you’ve lived with Monica for two year’s
and you haven’t noticed the connection between them .

Rachel : [ Puzzled ] Connection ?

Sam : The lurrrrve connection . [ Gesturing back and forth with her
hand’s ]

[ Rachel give’s her a strange look ]

Sam : You gotta admit their perfect for each other, they just haven’t
realised it yet and that’s where I come in , by 12 O’clock New Year’s
Eve you’re gonna be with Ross , Phoebe’s gonna be with Joey and Monica’s
gonna be with Chandler .

Rachel : [ Doubtful ] I don’t think so . I mean how you gonna do that ?

Sam : [ Knowingly ] Ahhhh . It’s time for me to put my match-making
shoe’s on , you just sit back relax and enjoy the ride . [ She walk’s
off leaving a puzzled Rachel to follow her ]

Rachel : There you go, doing that Chandler thing again .
 

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Scene 6

[ Monica and Rachel’s . Monica is alone in the kitchen trying to put a
huge turkey in the oven but it won’t fit ]

[ Chandler walk’s in ]

Monica : [ Angry ] Dammit ! Dammit ! Dammit !

Chandler : I may be way out on a limb here, but is something wrong ?

[ Monica slam’s the turkey down on the table ]

Monica : [ Stressed ] The turkey will not go in the oven . THE STUPID
TURKEY WILL NOT GO IN THE STUPID OVEN !!!!!

Chandler : Hey Mon, in a situation like this insulting the food is not
the best solution .

[ She shoot’s him an evil look ]

Chandler : [ Backing away ] But what would I know .

Monica : What do you want ?

Chandler : I wanted to show you something .

[ He reaches into his pocket and pull’s out a jewellery box ]

Monica : [ Sweetly ] Oh an early Christmas present , Chandler you
shouldn’t have .

Chandler : I didn’t it’s for Sam .

[ Monica look’s a little put out . He hand’s her the box we don’t see
the contents ]

Chandler : I got it this morning , it can be a gift to her from all of
us .

Monica : All of us ?

Chandler : Yeah you owe me 5 buck’s .

Monica : [ give’s him it back ] Well, I think she’ll love it .

Chandler : I’m gonna go to my place to wrap it up . [ Remembering ] Oh
Joey said that we all have to be in Central Perk by 5:30 to meet his
cousin .

Monica : Sure OK.

[ Chandler walk’s to the door , Monica goes back to the turkey ]

Monica : [ To the turkey ] OK this time your gonna fit .

Chandler : [ At the door ] Talking to it , that’ll work .

[ Monica pick’s up some sprout’s and throw’s them at him he exit’s
quickly and they hit the door ]
 

Scene 7
 

[ Monica and Rachel’s apartment . Monica is just cleaning up when
Rachel and Sam burst through the door with shopping bag’s in their
hand’s laughing. ]

Rachel and Sam : Hey Mon

Monica : Hey . So what did you buy ?

Sam : Well I bought some gift’s for you guy’s and I had enough money
left over to get a dress for New year .

Monica : Great .

Sam : I’m gonna go put this stuff in your room .

[ Sam goes into Monica’s room. ]

Monica : Look’s like you had a good time .

Rachel : Yeah, we had so much fun .

[ Sam return’s from Monica’s room ]

Sam : I’m gonna go across the hall see what they’re doing .

Monica : You do know Joey’s cousin isn’t here yet .

Sam : [ Beat ] I know .

[ Sam leave’s ]

Monica : So you to seem to be getting on well .

Rachel : Yeah she is so great , she’s got the best sense of humour and
she is so easy to get on with and she is really sweet , but she’s got
this funny idea about all of us.

Monica : What do you mean ?

Rachel : She thinks that were all meant for each other . [ Monica give’s
her a puzzled look ] She say’s that by midnight on New Year’s Eve
Phoebe’s gonna be with Joey , I’m gonna be with
Ross ......

Monica : That would be so sweet .

Rachel : You didn’t let me finish . She said Phoebe would be with Joey ,
I would be with Ross and you would be with Chandler .

[ Monica begins to laugh ]

Rachel : What ?

Monica : You don’t actually think that’s gonna happen do you .

[ Monica stop’s laughing and they look at each other for a moment ]

Rachel/Monica : Nah

Monica : [ Look’s at her watch ] Come on, let’s go get Sam and Chandler,
we gotta go meet Joey in Central Perk .

Rachel : OK just give me a minute . [ She take’s her bag’s and run’s to
her bedroom. ]
 

Scene 8

[ Chandler and Joey’s . Sam and Chandler are sat in the recliner’s
staring at the T.V , Baywatch is on ]

[ Monica and Rachel walk in , Chandler and Sam don’t notice ]

Rachel : [ To Monica ] And Sam and Chandler do have there difference’s .

Sam : [ Not taking her eye’s off the TV ] RUN DAVID RUN !

Chandler : [ Not taking his eye’s off the TV ] GO YASMINE RUN LIKE THE
WIND !

Rachel : Not many I might add .

Monica : Come on guy’s we’ve gotta go to Central Perk .

Chandler : The show’s nearly over .

Sam : Yeah, we’ll be there in a minute .

Monica : Joey’s cousin will be there .

[ Sam quickly turn’s off the TV and nearly run’s out the door ]

Sam : OK we’re outer here.

[ Rachel follows her out , Chandler is still stareing at the TV ]

Chandler : [ Upset ] Yasmine where did you go ? . [ Turn’s to Monica ]
Where did she go ?

Monica : Ohh come on . [ She grab’s his hand a drag’s him to the door he
continues to stare at the blank screen ]

Chandler : Where did you go Yasmine ?

Scene 9
[ Central Perk . Ross is sat on the chair, Joey is sat on the sofa next
to Phoebe, she’s got her guitar ]

Ross : So I’m not gonna get to see Ben for three whole week’s .

Phoebe : That’s to bad .

Joey : Do you wanna borrow the chick .

Ross : What ?

Joey : You can pretend he’s Ben you know you can bath him and play with
him and when you’ve had enough you can just stick him back in his
cupboard .

Ross : Phoebe, do me a favour never let me leave Ben with Joey under
any circumstance’s .

[ Joey sit’s back upset ]

[ Chandler , Monica, Rachel and Sam walk in, Phoebe sees them and goes
to the stage , they go sit on the sofa ]

Phoebe : [ Into the microphone ] This is a song that I made up this
morning, it’s a try and find the hidden meaning song it’s called
‘Secret’s’.

[ Phoebe look’s at the other three girl’s as she sings ]

Phoebe : [ Strumming on her guitar to same tune as ‘I’m in the shower’
in TOW the Baby on the Bus]

Phoebe : Thank you .

[ She return’s to the sofa they all clap and congratulate her. The
girl’s look worried ]

Joey : That was great Pheeb’s .

Chandler : What was the hidden meaning .

Phoebe : If I told you it wouldn’t be hidden [ Look’s at the girl’s ]
Plus you should be able to work it out for yourselves .

Joey : [ Excited ] Here he is . Here he is .

[ A teenage boy has just walked in carrying a rucksack . He is very good
looking, he has short dark hair and blue eye’s . Joey jump’s up from his
seat and run’s over to hug him, the other’s turn around to see what he
look’s like ]

Sam : [ To the other’s sat on the sofa ] Oh my God , and I mean that in
a good way .

Joey : [ To the boy ] Come and meet everyone .

[ They walk over to the sofa ]

Joey : Everybody this is Nicky , Nicky this is everybody .

[ Monica give’s Joey an ‘Are you an Idiot’ look ]

Monica : [ Sweetly ] Hi I’m Monica . [ Shake’s his hand ]

Nick : Hi

Chandler : I’m Chandler [ Shake’s his hand ]

Phoebe : Phoebe . [ Shake’s his hand ]

Ross : I’m Ross . [ Shake’s his hand ]

Rachel : It’s nice to meet you Nicky I’m Rachel . [ Shake’s his hand ]

Nick : Please call me Nick [ See’s Sam . Sweetly ] And what do I call
you .

Sam : [ Smiling ] Anything you want .

Joey : This is Sam .

Nick : [ Shake’s her hand ] Hi Sam .

Sam : [ Smiles shyly ] Hi Nick .

Chandler : [ In Monica’s ear ] Uh-oh .

CLOSING CREDIT’S

Scene 9

[ Monica and Rachel’s, everyone’s there , Sam’s in the kitchen
listening to everyone else in the living room talking .]

Ross : So have you got any hobby’s ?

Nick : Well I play basket ball and roller hockey .

Phoebe : Every tried combining the two ?

Nick : What ?

Phoebe : You know playing basket ball in roller blade’s .

Chandler : Yeah, it make’s the game faster but the slam dunk’s ‘very
tricky’ .

Rachel : Have you got a girlfriend ?

Nick : [ Beat ] Not at the moment .

Sam : YES!!! [ The others look at her . She try’s to cover up what she
just said ] It’s snowing .

[ They all look out the window ]

Monica : No it’s not

Sam : [ Quickly ] Shut up .
