TOW THE SILENT TREATMENT

By Candi and Creassya

Chandler and Monica have been dating for six months. Everyone knows about them except for Ross. Both Chandler and Monica are afraid of him finding out, but
they're tired of hiding their relationship from him, now that everyone knows about them. We won't give away too much, so you'll just have to read and find out what
happens.

SCENE: (Monica and Rachel's: Monica's room)

(Chandler and Monica are standing next to the door kissing)

CHANDLER: (Breaking the kiss) I love you.
MONICA: And I love you.
CHANDLER: You know...it still feels like we're sneaking around.
MONICA: We are. Ross is sitting in the kitchen eating, not knowing you're in here. Even though most of our friends know about us, we're still sneaking around.
CHANDLER: It might not be so bad.
MONICA: What are you talking about?
CHANDLER: I'm talking about telling Ross about us.
MONICA: Are you crazy? I love you Chandler. I want you to live.
CHANDLER: What?
MONICA: Chandler, Ross will kill you.
CHANDLER: (Smiles) You really do over react to things.
MONICA: You mean to tell me that you don't remember what happened your sophomore year in college?

(Flashback to Chandler and Ross's sophomore year of college)

(Ross had left Chandler and Monica at a party while he went off with Carol. Chandler was talking to a freshmen on a couch while Monica sat there watching them
and looking very bored. The girl started making moves on Chandler by running her hands up and down his leg and whispering in his ear. Monica was extremely
jealous and a little upset. Her and Chandler were having a good time until that girl spotted him from across the room and said she wanted to talk to him privately. He
thought the girl was attractive, but he wasn't interested. He looked over in Monica's direction and saw her talking to some guy. This guy was popular and had a
reputation as a heartbreaker. He slept with anything in a skirt. He was no longer paying attention to the girl who was whispering in his ear. He was watching Monica.
He suddenly got up to go and rescue her)

CHANDLER: Monica, can I talk to you?
MONICA: Sure. I'll see you later Tony.

(Tony leaves and goes to talk to someone else)

CHANDLER: I figured you needed to be rescued.
MONICA: (Angrily) Why would I need you of all people to rescue me?
CHANDLER: Do you know what kind of reputation he has? He's slept with every girl in here, except you.
MONICA: So.
CHANDLER: So, what's with the attitude? I'm just looking out for you.
MONICA: Why, because I'm Ross's little sister?
CHANDLER: Yes, and no. We're friends, and I don't wanna see you get hurt.

(Just then the girl comes over to them)

STACIE: Chandler are you ready to go?
CHANDLER: Well...
MONICA: It's okay Chandler, I'll be fine here. You go ahead.
CHANDLER: I don't wanna leave you here by yourself.
STACIE: Chandler, she won't be by herself. This is a party.

(Monica looks at the girl with contempt. She had only met her an hour ago, but already she couldn't stand her)

MONICA: Stacie's right. I'll be fine.
CHANDLER: You sure?
MONICA: Yeah, I'm sure. (She gets up and leaves the party)

SCENE: (N.Y.U. Dorm: Stacie's room)

(Chandler and Stacie enter her room. She turns on the lights and Chandler sits on her bed. He didn't know why he was in her room. He would have rather been with
Monica. He felt so bad for leaving Monica by herself. Stacie told him to make himself comfortable and she went into the bathroom. He knew that if he stayed there
he would be thinking about Monica the whole time, so he got up and left. He went back to the party to find her, but with no luck. He spent an hour looking for her.
He went back to his room feeling incredibly guilty. He turned on the the light and breathed a sigh of relief. Monica was in his bed asleep. He walked over to his bed
to wake her up)

CHANDLER: Mon, wake up.
MONICA: (Opens her eyes slowly) Chandler? What are you doing here?
CHANDLER: I think this is my room.
MONICA: No, I meant it's still early. I expected you to be gone all night.
CHANDLER: Nah, I'm not interested in her like that. I spent a whole hour looking for you.
MONICA: Really?
CHANDLER: Yeah. I'm sorry I left you. I knew that if I stayed with her, I would be thinking about you the whole time.
MONICA: (Sits up and looks at him) Why?
CHANDLER: Well....because...I was wrong.
MONICA: (Gets up off the bed) Oh.

(She goes to put on her shoes, but trips over one and falls on Chandler's lap. Neither one of them makes a move. They sit there gazing at each other not knowing
what to do next)

CHANDLER: (Looks deep into her eyes) Again I'm sorry for...
MONICA: (Interrupting him) It's fine.
CHANDLER: Really?
MONICA: Really.
CHANDLER: (Reaches up and touches her face) What are we doing?
MONICA: (Closes her eyes) You're touching my face.
CHANDLER: That's not all I'm doing.
MONICA: (Sighs and puts her head against his shoulder) I know. You're also rubbing my leg.

(He starts to run his fingers through her hair and she does the same. She opens her eyes and lifts her head up so that they're looking into each other's eyes. They kiss
very slowly and passionately. Five minutes into the kiss, Ross walks in and catches them. Monica jumps off Chandler's lap and Ross runs over to attack him, but
Monica stops him. She had never seen him so angry)

(Return to present day)

SCENE: (Monica and Rachel's)

(Chandler and Monica are now sitting on the bed)

CHANDLER: Okay, okay, I get the picture Mon!
MONICA: (Jokingly) Good! I don't want you to be in a grave with worms eating you! I want you right here, in the same room as me!
CHANDLER: Ooookaay, a little bit too much detail there!
MONICA: Sorry. Hey, wanna make out?
CHANDLER: Sure!

(They start kissing and they get really into it)

ROSS: (Walks into the room without knocking) Hey, Monica, can I get the- What the heck?! Chandler! Monica, a word?
MONICA: Ross, no. Listen, we are serious about this! I love Chandler!
CHANDLER: (Looks scared) What?
MONICA: It's true!
CHANDLER: I love you too, Monica Geller! (They kiss)
ROSS: Eeeeewww! Gross! (He runs out quickly)
CHANDLER/MONICA: What a baby!

SCENE: (Chandler and Joey's)

(They're sitting in their chairs watching TV)

JOEY: C'mon, this is stupid! I wanna watch Playboy!
CHANDLER: Stop it, Joey. I have to see this.
JOEY: But I don't like POPULAR!
CHANDLER: Too bad! I'm taping this for Monica! It's her favorite show!
JOEY: (Sarcastically) How could I forget.
CHANDLER: Watch Leslie Bibb. Just look at her!
JOEY: Huh?(Looks at the screen) You mean the blonde one?
CHANDLER: Yes!
JOEY: (Realizes) Whoa! She's almost as good looking as Yasmine Bleeth!
CHANDLER: I know! (They both do that laugh, can't explain it)

(As they're watching TV Ross comes in)

ROSS: (See's Chandler) Oh, hi Joey.
JOEY: (Turns around) Hey Ross.
CHANDLER: Hey Ross.
ROSS: So Joey, are you going to the coffeehouse?
CHANDLER: I'm going, as soon as this show goes off.
ROSS: (Angrily) I was speaking to Joey.
JOEY: Ross what's with you?
CHANDLER: He found out about me and Monica.
JOEY: Oh. Why didn't you tell me Chandler?
ROSS: Because he's been too busy fooling around with my sister.
CHANDLER: (Stands up) It's not like that. I love Monica with all my heart.
ROSS: So Joey, are you going?
JOEY: (Looks from Ross to Chandler) Yeah. Chandler, you coming?
CHANDLER: It doesn't look like I'll be wanted there.
JOEY: C'mon guys. You've know each other since college. You can't let something like this come between the two of you.
ROSS: Wanna bet?
CHANDLER: What is so bad about me and Monica seeing each other?
ROSS: Joey come on. Let's get going.
JOEY: Ross, Chandler's talking to you.
ROSS: Well, I'm not talking to him.
JOEY: C'mon Ross, give them a break. Have you seen the two of them together? They're really cute.
ROSS: As a matter of fact, I have. I first saw them together in college, and I saw them together in Monica's room.
JOEY: (Looks at Chandler) You and monica fooled around in college?
CHANDLER: We kissed.
ROSS: Yeah, more then once.
JOEY: All right Chan....(Stops when he sees the expression on Ross's face)
ROSS: If I hadn't come in when I did, who knows what might have happened.
CHANDLER: It wasn't like that Ross. It was special.
JOEY: So what happened?

(Flashback to Chandler and Ross's junior year of college)

SCENE: (Ross and Monica's Parents house)

(Jack and Judy had just left for their cruise and Monica was in the house by herself, until Chandler came over. She runs downstairs to open the door to find
Chandler standing there smiling)

MONICA: Chandler....hi.
CHANDLER: Hey Mon. Can I come in?
MONICA: Yeah, I'm sorry. Come on in.
CHANDLER: (Walks in looking at Monica) Well....
MONICA: Long time no see.
CHANDLER: (Sits on the couch) Yeah I know. Everytime I'm here you're out somewhere.
MONICA: Yeah. The last time I saw you was...
CHANDLER: Last year in...me and Ross's room.
MONICA: (Smiles) Right.
CHANDLER: So where is everybody?
MONICA: Well, my parents left for their cruise, and Ross isn't here.
CHANDLER: Oh, then I should probably get going.
MONICA: Unless you wanna wait.
CHANDLER: Yeah, I could wait.
MONICA: Want anything to drink?
CHANDLER: No, I'm okay.
MONICA: So, how have you been?
CHANDLER: Okay, you?
MONICA: Fine.

(Chandler and Monica sit there looking very uncomfortable around each other. She thought about him a lot after the kiss, but found it hard to be around him. She
was sitting on the smaller couch while he was on the bigger couch. She didn't trust herself to sit near him. She found him to be very irresistable ever since that night.
She fought the urge to go over and kiss him. It was killing her to stay where she was)

CHANDLER: So, how long has Ross been gone?
MONICA: A couple hours. Excuse me for second. (She gets up and goes upstairs)

(Chandler covers his face with his hands. He knew he should have left the second she said that Ross left, but now he found it hard to leave. He vowed that he would
never look at Monica as being more than a friend after that night Ross caught them making out, but he never stopped thinking about her. And seeing her again after
that night made him remember why he couldn't control himself. He felt so nervous around her now. His heart was beating fast, his palms were sweaty, and he had
butterflies in his stomache. He watched her as she retured to the living room and sat on the couch looking just as uncomfortable as was)

CHANDLER: Well..Mon, I really should get going.
MONICA: All right. I'll be sure to tell him you stopped by.
CHANDLER: (Gets up off the couch) Thanks.
MONICA: It was nice seeing you.
CHANDLER: It was nice seeing you too. Monica....I...
MONICA: What? What is it?

(Chandler walks over to her as she stands up and takes her hand in his)

CHANDLER: I think about you all the time. I miss you.
MONICA: (Shocked) So do I.
CHANDLER: (Steps closer to her and they hug) I probably shouldn't be hugging you.
MONICA: Me either.

(They pull back and gaze at each other)

CHANDLER: Well, I have to go. I can't control myself around you, and I don't want to cause any more problems.
MONICA: I know what you mean.
CHANDLER: So, why are we trying to control ourselves?
MONICA: I think Ross might have something to do with it.
CHANDLER: Ohhhh! I forgot all about him.
MONICA: (Laughs) Well I didn't. I don't wanna come between you two.
CHANDLER: When is he gonna realize that you're not a little girl he has to protect? You're not a baby.
MONICA: Try telling him that.
CHANDLER: It's not fair. You're the only person I can see myself with, and I can't be with you.

(Monica reaches up and touches his face. She couldn't see herself with anybody either and it was killing her not being able to be with Chandler. She felt that they
had a real connection. She thought he was so cute. She liked the way he walked into a room, the way he treated her, the way he touched her, kissed her, and held
her. She realized that she couldn't control herself around him any longer. She put her other hand up to his face and kissed him. His lips were so soft. She also loved
the way he grabbed the back of her head very gently when they kissed. Things started heating up and they made their way to the bigger couch. As Chandler lay on
top of her she starts kissing his neck. She smells so good he thought. She stopped kissing his neck and looked up at him. They both smiled and continued to kiss.
And just as before, when it started getting really good Ross walks in and catches them)

(Return to present day)

SCENE: (Chandler and Joey's)

(Ross is standing there with an unreadable expression of his face)

JOEY: Chandler! You are SO the man!
ROSS: What?
JOEY: Sorry Ross.
CHANDLER: Ross, I really do love Monica.

(Monica comes in and stands by the door afraid to move. Ross's face had turned a deep red)

JOEY: Hey Mon.
MONICA: Hi. Chandler? Did you tape my show?
CHANDLER: Yeah, I'm taping it now.
MONICA: (Walks over to him and gives him a soft kiss on the mouth) Thank you sweetie.

(Ross shakes his head and walks out)

SCENE: (Central Perk)

(Ross enters and sits down next to Phoebe looking really upset)

PHOEBE: Ross, is there something wrong?
ROSS: Yeah, Chandler and Monica.
PHOEBE: Yeah, I heard you were having a hard time with this.
ROSS: Well, I'm not speaking to either of them.
PHOEBE: Why are you acting like such a big baby?
ROSS: I don't wanna talk about it Phoebe.
PHOEBE: What is so wrong with Chandler and Monica being together?
ROSS: It's my bestfriend and my sister. It's not right.
PHOEBE: Ross, you obviously haven't seen the two of them together.
ROSS: Yes I have! I saw them together when we were in college, twice, and in when I went into Monica's room.
PHOEBE: (Shocked) What?
ROSS: That's right.
PHOEBE: They were together when you guys were in college? Wow.
ROSS: Well, they kissed twice. And I caught them both times.
PHOEBE: Ohhhhhhhh! Well, you should see them when they're not making out. They're really sweet to each other.

(Rachel enters and sits at the table)

RACHEL: (Sees the expression on Ross's face) Ross, what's with you?
PHOEBE: He found out about Chandler and Monica.
RACHEL: Oh. Ross, don't hate me for saying this, but she never had a problem with us seeing each other.
ROSS: That's different.
RACHEL: No it's not.
ROSS: Well, I still don't like it.
PHOEBE: What exactly don't you like about it? The fact that they're happy and she's finally with somebody who treats her right?
RACHEL: I've never seen either of them this happy before Ross. They're really cute together. They're always holding hands, and sitting up under each other. I'm
telling you, you just have to watch them together.
ROSS: Why do you guys keep saying that?
PHOEBE: Look Ross, they really do love each other. You should be happy for them.
ROSS: Are you guys forgetting who Monica's dating? Chandler has a huge fear of commitment. The minute things start to get serious he'll run. He always does.
PHOEBE: I can see where you're coming from, but this is the longest either of them have been in a relationship, especially Chandler.
ROSS: How long has this been going on?
RACHEL: Well....six months.
ROSS: (even more upset) What? They've been seeing each other for six months, and you all knew....all this time?
RACHEL: Well...we've only known for 2 months.
ROSS: I don't believe this.
PHOEBE: They wanted to tell you, but they were afraid to.

(Just then, Chandler and Monica enter holding hands. They sit on the couch and he puts his arm around her and laces his fingers through hers, and Ross notices)

MONICA: Hey, we should all go to a movie tonight.
PHOEBE: Yeah, that sounds good.
RACHEL: Ross you wanna come?
ROSS: No.
MONICA: Ross, what do have against me and Chandler dating?
ROSS: (Looks at Rachel) Could you tell Monica that I'm not speaking to her?
CHANDLER: Look Ross, It's me you're really mad at. I just wish you would yell at me or something.
PHOEBE: Are you sure you want that?
CHANDLER: Ross, we're really happy. Why can't you understand that?
ROSS: Because, I know you Chandler. The minute things get serious, you won't be there for her. You've never been in a serious relationship.
CHANDLER: Until now.
ROSS: Phoebe, tell Chandler that I don't wanna talk about it anymore.

(Monica gets upset and leaves. Chandler looks over at Ross. Now he's the one who's upset)

CHANDLER: Well...thanks a lot Ross.
ROSS: Aren't you going to go after her?
CHANDLER: When Monica is this upset, she likes to be alone until she cools off.
ROSS: See what I mean? It's starting already.
RACHEL: You are a petty petty man.
PHOEBE: Chandler, I didn't know you and Monica kissed a couple times in college.
RACHEL: Yeah, me either.
ROSS: Yeah, if I haven't caught them both times, it might have went further.
RACHEL: (Ignoring Ross) So we never knew how the two of you started dating.
PHOEBE: Yeah, we wanna know.

(Chandler and Ross are glaring at each other. He wanted to go over and choke Ross for upsetting Monica and giving them a hard time about them dating, but he
decided to tell Phoebe and Rachel how the two of them started dating. He wanted to let Ross know that they really love each other, and that he takes this
relationship, and Monica seriously)

(Flashback to six months earlier)

SCENE: (Miami, Florida: Radison Hotel)

(Chandler, Monica, and Joey are checking into their rooms. Monica has a room to herself and Chandler and Joey share a room)

JOEY: So Chandler, is this conference going to be boring?
CHANDLER: Well, yeah.
JOEY: All man.
MONICA: Don't worry Chandler. I'll go with you.
CHANDLER: (Puts his arm around her) Thanks Mon.
MONICA: I don't mind.
JOEY: (Stares at a woman sitting in the lobby, then walks over to her) Hey! How you doin?
CHANDLER: There he goes.
MONICA: I'm so glad you don't act like that.
CHANDLER: (Smiles) Yeah, me too.

(With his arm around Monica, they go up to their rooms)

SCENE: (Miami, Florida: Radison Hotel, Outside pool area)

(Monica is in the pool when Chandler comes out in his swimming trunks. She's not swimming. She has her elbows resting on the edge of the pool)

CHANDLER: Mind if I join you?
MONICA: (Turns around) Yeah, I could use the company.
CHANDLER: (Gets in the pool) Good! So could I.
MONICA: So, you looking forward to this conference?
CHANDLER: Nah, not really.
MONICA: Well why did you come here? It's not like you had to.
CHANDLER: Well, I've never been to Miami. We have a couple days before the conference starts, so we can check this place out.
MONICA: Yeah. It's really beautiful here.
CHANDLER: (Look at Monica) Yeah it is.
MONICA: So where's Joey?
CHANDLER: He hooked up with that girl that was in the lobby.
MONICA: Oh.

(Chandler walks to the middle of the pool and asked her if she wanted to race him to the end of the pool, but she didn't want to. So instead, she watched him swim
back and forth. He swam over to her and splashed a little water in her face. So she swam closer to him and pushed his head in the water. He came back up laughing
and splashed her again. She started laughing and they splashed water at each other until they got tired)

CHANDLER: So, do you quit?
MONICA: (Smiles) You started it.
CHANDLER: Yeah I know.
MONICA: (Swims back to the edge of the pool by the steps) Well, I'm done.
CHANDLER: (Swims over to her) Yeah me too.

(Chandler stares at Monica. Those familiar feeling had returned. Ross wasn't around this time. He could kiss her and not have to worry about Ross interrupting them
again)

MONICA: Chandler? What's wrong?
CHANDLER: Nothing. Why?
MONICA: You just look really deep in thought.
CHANDLER: I am.
MONICA: Okay. So what are you thinking about?
CHANDLER You don't wanna know.
MONICA: I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't wanna know.
CHANDLER: (Takes a deep breath) Well...I was thinking...about you.
MONICA: (Smiles) What about me?
CHANDLER: Well...it's kinda hard to explain.
MONICA: Just tell me the best way you can.

(Monica notices the serious look on his face. She also notices that he's gazing at her. It's a look she hadn't seen him give her since the day Ross caught them making
out on her parents couch years ago. She always loved the way he looked at her. She wished that he was feeling the same thing she was feeling. Or was he? she
wondered. She wanted him to come over and kiss her so bad. He was a really good kisser. When she kissed him, it was like time stood still, and nothing else
mattered. All of a sudden her heart started beating really fast, she was nervous, and she got butterflies in her stomache as he slowly walked towards her. Chandler's
heart was beating so fast. He was so nervous. He inches closer to her and without a word he looks deep into her eyes for a couple seconds and then he kisses her.
She couldn't believe how much passion was in the kiss. The other times they kissed were good, but this one was different. It took her breath away)

CHANDLER: (Breaks the kiss) That's what I was thinking about.
MONICA: (Trying to catch her breath) Me too. Chandler...that was...that kiss was amazing!
CHANDLER: (Caressing her face) I know. We keep ending up like this. What do you think this means?
MONICA: Well...we're obviously attracted to each other.
CHANDLER: I think it's more than that. We've done this twice before. These feelings that we have for each other keeps resurfacing. They're not just gonna go
away.
MONICA: What are you saying?
CHANDLER: I don't want it to end this time.
MONICA: Me either, but what about your friendship with Ross?
CHANDLER: I care about my friendship with Ross, and I care about you, but I can't do this again. I can't let Ross come between us anymore. Monica, we have
something special between us, and I'll be damned if I let him ruin that.
MONICA: I just don't wanna come between the two of you.
CHANDLER: I know that, but Mon, he came between us.
MONICA: You do have a point.
CHANDLER: I just don't wanna miss out on the chance to be happy. I'm ready for a serious relationship. This shouldn't be about wheather or not this makes Ross
mad. It's about you and me...together. Nobody else. Just us.

(Monica looks at Chandler with tears in her eyes, realizing that he was right. It was the right time for them to get together. Chandler laces his right hand through her
left hand, and they kiss)

MONICA: (Breakes the kiss) You're right Chandler.
CHANDLER: So, do you want to be in a relationship with me?
MONICA: (Smiles) More than anything.

(Chandler hugs her tightly, not wanting to let her go)

(Return to present day)

SCENE: (Central Perk, next day)

PHOEBE: Hey, guys, you know what would be really awesome? Going to Galaxy Skateway! ( I dunno, where I live it's called that-the skating rink)

ALL: Pheebs, what a great idea/etc.
ROSS: Aw, I don't know.
ALL: Please?
ROSS: Fine, fine.

SCENE: (Galaxy Skateway, later)

CHANDLER: Okay, so now what are we going to do?
PHOEBE: The ticket games!
JOEY: The snack bar!
CHANDLER/MONICA: Skating!
CHANDLER: Okay, so what we'll do is this....we'll do whatever. Then, at (Checks time) 5 o'clock, we'll all meet at the snack bar!
ALL: Sure, whatever/etc.
CHANDLER: Hey, Mon, it's our song!
MONICA: Yeah! C'mon let's go skate!

(Britney Spears "Oops...I did it again" is playing. If you don't know who she is, what's wrong with your sick, sad life?)
(Oh, Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I think I did it again
I made you believe
We're more than just friends
Oh baby, baby
It might seem I'm in love
But it doesn't mean
That I'm serious
Oh baby baby

Oops I did it againg
I played with your heart
Got lost in the game
Oh baby baby
Oops you think I'm in love
Got some from the first
I'm not that innocent
(I forgot the rest of the lyrics, hehe. Sawwy!)

(Monica and Chandler are skating happily. For the first time, Ross realizes that they really love each other)

SCENE: (Galaxy Skateway: 2 hours later)

(Chandler and Monica skate off the floor, and goes to sit down on one of the benches. Chandler then get up and goes over to the snack bar and brings Monica and
Ross a soda. Ross is glaring at Chandler, but takes the soda anyway. Chandler goes back over to Monica and sits down beside her. They were laughing and talking.
Neither of them were aware that Ross was watching them. Phoebe and Joey came over to Ross and said that they were ready to leave, and so was he. Phoebe sat
next to Ross so she could take off her skates, and Joey went over to where Chandler and Monica were sitting and told them they everyone was ready to leave. Joey
took off his skates and went over to the counter to return them. Chandler kneels down and takes Monica's skates off for her and gives her a soft kiss on the lips.
Then he gets up to return their skates)

PHOEBE: (Notices that Ross is watching Chandler and Monica) See what we mean.
ROSS: (Turns to look at her) What?
PHOEBE: Chandler and Monica.
ROSS: I don't see what you mean.
PHOEBE: Deny it all you want. You don't see how cute they are together?
ROSS: (Lying) No I don't.
PHOEBE: Liar.
ROSS: I still think I'm right.
PHOEBE: You always think you're right.
ROSS: I do not.
PHOEBE: Ross, they almost got together twice before. It's so obvious that they're meant for each other. I wish you would consider their feelings. They considered
yours, which is why they didn't get together when you guys were in college. I understand that you don't want Monica to get hurt, but she's gonna be with him
whether you like it or not. And Chandler's been friends with the two of you for a long time. He doesn't want to hurt you or Monica for anything. Why can't you see
that?

(They rest of the gang comes over to where Phoebe and Ross are sitting. Chandler and Monica were holding hands. Phoebe was right he thought. It was hard trying
to accept the two of them dating. It could be worst he thought. She could be going out with Joey. He was just worried about Monica getting hurt because of all
Chandler's weird relationship crap. He's known Chandler forever it seemed like, and he's never known Chandler to hurt or disrespect any of his girlfriends. He's
always treated them pretty good)

SCENE: (Monica and Rachel's: A week later)

(Ross is just returning from a Palentology retreat. Rachel let him in and went to the coffehouse. He was waiting for Chandler and Monica to come in. He was sitting
on the couch reading the newspaper. When they came in together, they froze when they saw Ross sitting on the couch)

ROSS: Hey guys.
MONICA: Hi Ross. You mean you're actually breaking the silent treatment.
ROSS: Yeah, why not?
CHANDLER: Well you lead us to believe that you hated us together.
ROSS: I'm sorry I gave you guys a hard time. I was just looking out for my sister.
MONICA: By not speaking to me?
ROSS: I know, it was pretty dumb.
MONICA: Yes it was. Ross, Chandler is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
CHANDLER: (Smiles at Monica, and then looks at Ross) And Monica's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
ROSS: I can tell. You seem really happy.
MONICA: We are.
CHANDLER: You have no idea how much I love your sister. We've always been attracted to each other, but we didn't take any further because of you.
ROSS: (Feeling guilty) I know, and I'm sorry. I feel really bad about standing in the way of your happiness. I shouldn't been supportive. During the retreat, I had a
lot of time to think about all this, and it could have been worst. She could be dating Joey.
CHANDLER: (Smiles) No she couldn't.
ROSS: (Gets up off the couch) I'm really happy for you two.
MONICA: Really?
CHANDLER: You serious?
ROSS: I'm not going to stand in your way anymore. You have my support.

(Ross goes over to them and they all hug. They break apart and Monica has tears in her eyes. She looks at Chandler and they kiss. Ross stands there wondering
why he never so how cute they are together.....)

That's all folks
